found in front of Central Station in Haarlem. I was annoyed that I couldn't find the face of Mr. black jacket.


This guy's real size is about half a stamp. It was clearly part of a picture with two faces, and his was cut off and eventually lost. Found close to Amsterdam Central Station.

Any military buffs out there who can tell me if these are indeed Swedish military? The photograph was a new print of an old photograph.

This is an image detail of a large framed found photograph that was thrown out with the trash on my street in Delft. It appears to be a number of (military?) men providing service for a pair of small airplanes.

I scanned this from a single frame of very distressed negative that I found on the street in Amsterdam.

Since the woman was a little bit clearer than the rest, I tried to scan her with more detail, but it didn't help much, except to show the extent of the distress.

Found in Amsterdam, January 2008. The picture is A4 size, and was stored in a plastic folder that allowed it to be stored in a binder. The running ink was caused by ink damage, and I could no longer remove it from the folder.

These images came from a badly damaged negative that I found on the street in Amsterdam last month. I'm not sure what I'm looking at, but suspect sculpture of some sort?

This is from one of those photo booths that renders the photograph as a drawing. The Van Gogh angle is obvious for Amsterdam.

Go Elsewhere

For those of you who read speculative fiction, you may or may not be aware that marthawells has her own livejournal, where she is publishing one of her older books in PDF for her readers. She also is running a Literacy Challenge which seems like a really good cause. I know that the world is full of good causes, but if you're like me then reading is near and dear to the heart, and worth encouraging in those less fortunate.

This Giant Girl Doll video frightens me. (p.s. This was linked to a while ago from someone in my flist, but I no longer remember who.)

Music

Finally picked up an Espers album. Wasn't sure what I was expecting, but I wasn't expecting it to sound so much like Mellow Candle. I liked it. People in NL should take note that the Espers are playing in Utrecht on December 2 and in Rotterdam on December 3.

The picture was printed on old (1930s?) postcard stock-- I suppose that it is possible that it was a commercially printed postcard, but I tend to think that it was actually a family picture, since the image isn't that charming.
